Vitalik: An Ethereum Movie is the first-ever documentary authorized by the Ethereum Foundation, chronicling the journey of Ethereum through the eyes of its co-founder, Vitalik Buterin. Produced over three years (2021–2024), the film showcases Ethereum’s diverse and expansive ecosystem, highlighting its human stories, technological breakthroughs, and community-driven values.

Uncommons, in collaboration with ETHPanda and 706, secured exclusive rights to screen the movie across Asia, including China, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia. The initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of Ethereum’s history and vision while engaging local communities in meaningful discussions about blockchain and decentralization.

The total attendance is over 700. Right now, there are total 14 screening over Asia.

Summary of Raw School Activities
In early 2024, Raw School launched its second semester with the theme “Reading Club,” featuring 8 group reading sessions covering foundational works such as The Sovereign Individual , Radical Markets , The Bitcoin Whitepaper , and Cypherpunks . The program also included:

  • 3 Lectures: Topics included “Artistic Research,” “The Probability of Bitcoin Being Hacked,” and “Mining and Mining Pools.”
  • 1 Debate Session: Focused on “Super Artificial Intelligence (ASI).”

The semester saw active participation, with 10 regular students , 11 auditors , 3 guest lecturers , and 7 debate participants , fostering vibrant discussions and collaborative learning. In mid-2024, Raw School launched its third semester, themed “Research Group.” While progress slowed due to the organizer K’s temporary departure for studies, their recent graduation signals a return to full capacity and renewed momentum for the group.
As a key part of Uncommons’ research initiatives, Raw School has delivered significant outputs, including:

  • A comprehensive exploration of Bitcoin’s prehistory (1912–2009).
  • A research proposal focusing on the crypto industry.
  • Organized literature reviews and analysis.

These achievements reflect Raw School’s commitment to fostering in-depth crypto humanities research and its pivotal role within the Uncommons community.
