With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our visionary leader and brother @decentralizedceo who left us on November 7, 2024, (May his soul rest in perfect peace)
His unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of a better society have left an indelible mark on our community and the world.

Below are the state of things in Greenpill Nigeria.

We started Q4 with a Greenpill Nigeria Citizen Retro Round geared toward a retro funding of active individuals (Greenpill Nigeria Citizens and Beyond) who have contributed impactfully to regeneration in the region. It was a success, details here. From this round, a sequel action was to assigned council members for the Gardens project. Members staked 11 Op here.

2, Garden Project(Afro-League): A community garden for proposing and funding what matters. Signals from prior assessments as stated in the covenant are :point_down:

Application to GG22 community round “Growing the Public Gardens” with “the Afro League” was a success and the project was rewarded with $875 to a newly set Greenpill Nigeria multi- sig 2/5

In Progress

1, ImpactFest(Impact summit): An annual event connecting and highlighting impactful initiatives, organization and individuals in collaboration with other impactful Onchain networks (global and local). Slated for Dec 7th 2024.

2, Water Cup with AtlantisDAO : An initiative to develop a regenerative peer to peer water network in Nigeria for a clean, safe and accessible water. Slated to begin late November 2024.( Currently, AtlantisDAO are developing a fundraising mechanism to support this water cup. It will be a NFT Collection.

  • Coordinate with partners involved in any particular initiative and other lovers of Greenpill Nigeria and public good to see how to execute initiatives in progress and subsequent ones.

  • We lost a proposal in PIZZADAO for the sponsorship of ImpactFest by 1 vote(as Izzy has been the only Greenpill Nigeria Citizen with a Rare pizza box), in that light we deemed it fit (a proposal to be made on the gardens )to get 2 PIZZADAO (0.08ETH/BOX) rare pizzas for greenpill Nigeria active citizens so to allow us navigate PIZZADAO effectively subsequently.

  • Listen and implement solutions/strategies from public goods crusaders who are always set to see us grow
